A 4 pt inspection can help lower the cost of your insurance. A 4 pt inspection should cost around $150. It is a short inspection where the inspector checks the Roof, the heating and cooling system, the Electrical, and the plumbing (including the hot water heater). The inspector creates a report for the insurance company. Consult with a few insurance companies and see what they require for inspections as insurance guidelines change over time then consult a reputable home inspector.
